KOMPANG

Kompang is a type of a Malay traditional drum. The musical Kompang is influenced by Arabic music and it is also use for welcoming significant guests to your formal events/ ceremonies such as launchings, official opening and closing ceremonies and also for wedding ceremonies.

The kompang instrument is of Arab origin and was brought into the country either with Indian-Muslim traders during the days of the Malay Sultanate, or through Java in the 13th century by Arab traders.
